Dropping alongside the Pure Platinum on June 9, 2012, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Solar Red (508214-006) took a blacked-out approach with hits of Solar Red on the collar lining and outsole. Anaconda-textured side panels, a tonal black Nike Swoosh, and a molded rubber heel with mountainous grooves define the upper. Same midfoot strap with “YEEZY” branding, same Egyptology references by Hafiia Mark, and the same glow-in-the-dark outsole as the Platinum pair. Air Tech Challenge II tooling in the midsole with a visible Air window in the heel. Retailed at $250, included a dustbag, leather lacelocks, and metal lace tips.
