A Thousand-Dollar Resale Shoe Returns to Retail

The Jordan 4 Black Cat 2025 is the third retail run of a colorway that spent years in the four-figure resale range. First dropped in 2006, retroed in January 2020, and brought back again on Black Friday 2025 at $230. The 2006 pairs sat on shelves. The 2020 pairs crept past $1,000 by 2023. Funny how that works.

This time around, the biggest change is the return of Nike Air heel branding in place of the Jumpman logo, tying it closer to the original ’89 Jordan 4 construction. Everything else stays murdered out: black nubuck across every panel, tonal mesh windows, glossy black eyelets, and a stealth midsole. Nubuck has a matte, dry hand feel with zero sheen. The only contrast comes from the patent-finish eyelets catching light and a faint Light Graphite hit on the tongue Jumpman and Flight logo. Style code CT8012-017.
