AJ6 Retro “Infrared Salesman”
A 25-Year-Old Sample Finally Hits the Street
Back in 1999, a reverse-Infrared Air Jordan 6 showed up in salesman catalogs and never made it to production. For over two decades it stayed locked in collector lore, until Jordan Brand pulled it from the archives for the silhouette’s 35th anniversary. The Air Jordan 6 Infrared Salesman dropped February 14, 2026 during NBA All-Star Weekend at $215 retail, style code CT8529-001. Premium black nubuck wraps the upper, and the Light Crimson hits extend further across the midsole than on the standard Infrared, giving the shoe a bolder contrast. Nike Air branding on the heel keeps it rooted in OG territory.
The tongue sits about 2mm taller than recent retail 6s, closer to the original 1991 shape. Even the packaging mimics a factory sample box, complete with a “Sample” stamp on the inner collar. TTS.
