Kobe wore the original Grinch 6 on Christmas Day 2010 and dropped 40 points against the Heat. That game turned the Kobe 6 Protro Grinch from a holiday colorway into one of the most iconic performance basketball shoes ever made. The 2020 Protro re-release updated the cushioning with Zoom Air but kept everything else intact: green apple upper, crimson red Swoosh, volt accents on the midsole and outsole.
The green tone is dialed in, not too neon, not too dark. The snake-scale texture on the upper panels is raised enough to feel with your fingertip, which is a detail cheaper reps often miss. Red Swoosh pops hard against the green. Fits snug like all Kobe 6s, half size up unless you want a performance-tight fit.
