The Black Toe is one of the original 1985 Air Jordan 1 colorways, and the 2016 retro brought it back in near-perfect form. The Jordan 1 Retro Black Toe 2016 features a White leather mid-panel, Black on the toe box, Swoosh, collar, and Wings logo, and University Red on the heel overlay and ankle flap. Style code 555088-125. The three-color combination is arguably the most balanced in the entire AJ1 lineup because no single color dominates.

The 2016 retro used quality tumbled leather that broke in nicely after a few wears. White midsole, red and black outsole. Nike Air on the tongue. The Black Toe sits in the same tier as the Chicago and Bred for recognizability, but it gets less attention, which honestly makes it a better daily shoe because it doesn’t attract the same level of scrutiny.
