Kobe Bryant studied Bruce Lee the way most players studied game film. He adopted Lee’s Jeet Kune Do philosophy of “fighting without fighting” and translated it to the basketball court. The Kobe 5 Protro Bruce Lee makes that connection physical. The yellow and black paneling on the upper recreates the jumpsuit Lee wore in Game of Death. Four red scratch marks on the lateral forefoot reference the battle wounds from Enter the Dragon.
