After the Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita Sweet 16 honored Gigi Bryant through the sixth signature shoe, Nike continued the tribute with the Kobe 8 Protro Mambacita. The design carries similar emotional weight. Black and white tones cover the engineered mesh upper with metallic gold accents marking Gigi’s jersey number “2” and the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation crest.

“Kobe” appears on the left heel, “Gigi” on the right, maintaining the dual tribute established on the Kobe 6 version. Angel wing graphics and the “Mambacita” nickname appear on the insoles. The Kobe 8 platform brings its own performance advantages with a lower-to-the-ground ride, engineered mesh for breathability, and responsive cushioning. Released as a follow-up to the Sweet 16 drop.
