Kobe 2 Black Mamba Fade to Black
Thirteen Shoes, One Farewell
In 2016, Nike released the Fade to Black collection to mark Kobe Bryant’s retirement. The pack included all eleven Kobe signature models plus the Huarache 2K4 and Hyperdunk ’08, each gradually shifting from white to black across the release schedule. The Kobe 2 Fade to Black landed early in the lineup with a Light Bone colorway throughout. Premium leather and synthetic construction kept the futuristic silhouette from 2006 looking sharp in a tonal finish. A gold foil stamp on the insoles added a collector’s touch.
The Kobe 2 was always the most sculptural shoe in the signature line, and this monochromatic treatment highlights every contour. Cushioned midsole and durable outsole handle daily wear fine even though these are more collector pieces than court shoes. Released March 25, 2016 at $200. Limited quantities at the time. See it with other Kobe models on the rep basketball shoes page. Browse the full store at fake shoes.
