Before the Spider-Verse sequel got its own Jordan 1, the first Into the Spider-Verse movie launched with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Origin Story in December 2018. The colorway is a Chicago remix with a twist. University Red and Black on the upper panels, but the red sections use a crystallized texture with tiny 3M reflective dots that simulate the comic-book halftone pattern. Under certain light, the dots sparkle across the entire shoe. Icy blue translucent outsole finishes the Spider-Man connection.

The 3M dots are more visible at night or under flash. During the day it reads like a standard Chicago with a slightly textured red panel. Black leather on the Swoosh and collar is smooth and clean. White base panels are standard tumbled leather. The icy outsole does yellow over time with wear, which actually adds character. Same fit as any Jordan 1 High OG.
