The Royal colorway is one of the original Jordan 1 designs from 1985, and the 2017 retro release is considered the definitive modern version. The Jordan 1 Retro High Royal (555088-007) features Black smooth leather on the base, overlays, collar, and tongue. Royal Blue on the Swoosh, heel panel, and outsole. White midsole. The color split is simple: mostly black with blue accents that catch your eye on the Swoosh and heel.

The 2017 leather quality was good for its time. Smooth, firm, with a slight sheen on the black panels. The Royal Blue is deep and saturated, closer to a dark cobalt than a bright blue. Nike Air on the tongue, Wings logo on the collar. This is the colorway that predates the Royal Reimagined suede version and the Patent Royal. The OG leather version. Standard AJ1 High sizing.
