The Museum of Contemporary Art Got Its Own AF1

Virgil Abloh created this exclusive for the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2019. The Air Force 1 Off-White MCA features a University Blue leather upper with metallic silver Swoosh on the lateral side. Virgil’s signature deconstructed details remain: exposed foam tongue, Helvetica text printing, industrial stitching. “AIR” on the midsole. Orange zip-tie tag. The MCA exclusive was limited to the museum and quickly became one of the most expensive Off-White x Nike resale items, with prices reaching five figures.
