Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten” deconstruction project deconstructed ten Nike silhouettes for Off-White in 2017, and the Presto was the loudest of the bunch. The Air Presto OFW Black launched November 2017 at $160 retail, style code AA3830-002. Premium black mesh upper, white midsole peeking through the cage, exposed orange “AIR” tag at the medial side, black-and-white satin “SHOELACES” zip tie at the lateral, Helvetica “AIR PRESTO” text along the foxing. Off-White red signature pull tab on the heel.

The shoe reads loud or quiet depending on whether the zip tie is left on or trimmed off, a choice Virgil left up to the wearer. Mesh is dense and even-toned, the exposed sock liner gives the upper its second-skin fit.
