The Rare Air series dropped in April 2025 to mark four decades of the Air Jordan 1 silhouette, and the Jordan 1 High OG Rare Air Deep Royal Blue might be the most interesting pair in the pack. White leather base, deep royal blue overlays, neutral grey suede collar, and a muslin midsole that gives the whole shoe a slightly aged feel. The real trick is the wear-away black Swoosh. Scratch it down over time and a red layer shows up underneath. Small detail, but it changes the look completely. Nike Air branding replaces the standard Wings logo on the lateral collar, tying it back to the original 1985 spec. Perforated toe box, extra lace set in the box, and special packaging round it out.
