Sony and Jordan Brand linked up for the Across the Spider-Verse movie release in May 2023, and the result was a completely reworked Chicago colorway. The Air Jordan 1 High OG Spider-Verse uses a patchwork upper that mixes smooth leather, suede, patent leather, and printed panels in University Red, Black, and White. Every panel is a different texture or pattern, nodding to the multiple animation styles in the film. Black patent leather covers the Swoosh and collar. A translucent red outsole sits underneath, and the comic book-style detailing on the collar ties the whole concept together. Style code DV1748-601.

The material variety makes this pair feel different from every angle. Patent Swoosh catches light, the suede patches have real nap, and the printed sections hold up well.
