The Jordan 1 Clay Green was part of the “Best Hand in the Game” collection from May 2018, where each colorway represented a different piece of Michael Jordan’s career legacy. Clay Green stood for the full sum of his awards. Style code 555088-135. The blocking follows the Black Toe layout: white leather base, black toe and midfoot panels, with soft clay green nubuck on the heel, collar, and Swoosh. Green rubber outsole. Released exclusively in the US and China, which made pairs harder to track down early on.

Nubuck has a nice short nap and the white leather panels feel sturdy without being stiff. A playing card graphic on the insole nods to Jordan’s full house of accomplishments.
