AJ1 Retro High “Not for Resale” Varsity Red
Nike’s Message to Resellers, Printed on the Shoe
In November 2018, Jordan Brand dropped a pair that called out the resale market directly. The Jordan 1 High Not for Resale Red (861428-106) features “NOT FOR RESALE” stamped across the side panel, “NO PHOTOS” on the tongue, and “NO” printed on the medial Swoosh. White and Varsity Red on the upper with Yellow accents on the collar, laces, and outsole. The messaging is deliberately ironic because the shoe was limited, expensive on resale within hours, and clearly designed to generate exactly the kind of hype it claimed to reject.
The red is vibrant and the yellow adds a pop that makes the whole shoe look more playful than a standard red and white AJ1. Smooth leather across the upper. The printed text is part of the design, not a sticker. It holds up through wear. The self-aware marketing concept made this one of the more memorable releases of 2018. Standard AJ1 High fit. Find it on the replica Jordan 1 page. Full store at fake sneakers.
