If you already know the standard Royal colorway, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Patent Royal takes the same Black and Royal Blue palette and swaps the matte leather for patent leather across the entire upper. Released in 2022. The result is a glossy, reflective finish on every blue and black panel. Patent catches light from every direction, which gives the shoe a completely different presence compared to the matte original or even the suede Reimagined version.

Patent leather doesn’t crease the same way as regular leather. It holds its shape longer but shows scuffs more easily. Keep a microfiber cloth handy. The blue is the same deep Royal used on every other Royal release. White midsole, royal outsole. Wings logo and Nike Air tongue branding.
