Same Name, Different Grey

The original Shadow uses Medium Grey. The Jordan 1 High Shadow 2.0 (555088-035) from May 2021 swaps it for a lighter, smokier grey. The result is a shoe that’s visually similar but noticeably lighter in tone. Black leather on the base, tongue, laces, and collar. Light Smoke Grey on the overlays and Swoosh. White midsole, grey outsole. Same color blocking as the original Shadow, just with a brighter grey that gives the shoe a more modern feel.

Put the 2018 Shadow next to the 2.0 and the difference is clear. The 2.0’s grey is at least two shades lighter, which makes the contrast with the black panels sharper. Leather is smooth across both colors. Standard AJ1 High construction. If you thought the original Shadow was too dark, the 2.0 fixes that. If you liked the moodier tone, stick with the original.
