AJ12 Cherry
MJ’s Fifth Ring, Cherry Red Mudguards
The Air Jordan 12 Cherry first released in 1997, the same season Michael Jordan won his fifth NBA Championship. The 2023 retro (CT8013-116) brought it back at $210 after a 14-year gap since the 2009 version. White leather upper with sunrise-inspired stitch lines radiating across the side panels. Varsity Red lizard-textured mudguards wrap around the lower half, matched by a red midsole and semi-translucent outsole with herringbone traction pods. Silver metallic hardware on the eyelets, black Jumpman embroidery on the tongue, and an exposed carbon fiber shank plate underneath.
Tinker Hatfield’s design was the first Jordan to use Zoom Air cushioning. The quilted leather panel is smooth and the red mudguard texture is sharp on this retro. Fits like a standard 12.
