AJ17 Low “Lightning
MJ’s 2002 All-Star Shoe
Michael Jordan wore the Jordan 17 Low Lightning during the 2002 NBA All-Star Game as a Washington Wizard, and the shoe became one of the most memorable pieces from his second comeback. White leather upper, black Dynamic Fit inner sleeve that wraps the ankle, and Lightning yellow accents on the toe cap and midsole. The chrome heel counter with “JORDAN” lettering is the signature detail on the 17 Low. Originally released October 2002, it came back in May 2024 for $300 with the metal briefcase packaging that the OG 17s were known for.
Zoom Air in the forefoot and Air-Sole in the heel for cushioning. Full-length shank plate adds support. Perforations along the side panel keep things breathable. The 17 does not get the attention that earlier Jordans do, but this colorway carried real weight when it debuted. TTS. More from the collection on the Jordan 17 reps page.
