In 2016, Kobe visited the Kobe Academy in Shanghai and noticed a player cutting corners on line sprints. He stopped everything, made the kid redo it, then ran the final sprint with him. That moment became the motto “Touch the Line,” and Nike printed it on the insoles of the Kobe 4 Protro CHBL. Made for the Chinese High School Basketball League, this colorway hits hard with a bold yellow upper that gradients from lightning yellow at the toe to a softer shade near the heel. Black Swooshes, laces, and speckled midsole accents create sharp contrast. Dusty cactus hits appear on the outsole and custom insole graphic.
