The Jordan 1 Retro High Bred Toe (555088-610) released February 2018 as a mashup of two legendary colorways. Take the Bred’s red and black palette and apply it to the Black Toe’s three-color blocking. Gym Red on the toe box, heel overlay, and ankle flap. Black on the Swoosh, forefoot overlay, collar, and laces. White leather on the quarter panel and midsole. Style code 555088-610. The result is a shoe that combines the best elements of both parents into something that arguably looks better than either one alone.

Leather quality on this release was well-received. Smooth and tumbled where it needed to be. The red panels have a rich, saturated tone. White quarter panel keeps it from looking too dark. Red and black outsole. Nike Air on the tongue, Wings on the collar.
