AJ1 Retro Shattered Backboard
The Dunk That Broke Glass and Made History
Summer 1985, an exhibition game in Trieste, Italy. Michael Jordan goes up for a dunk and shatters the glass backboard. He was wearing an orange and black Jordan 1. Four decades later, that moment lives on through the Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, released in June 2015 as a Retro High OG. Style code 555088-005. Black leather base with Starfish orange overlays, Swoosh, and heel panel. White midsole. Sail accents on the tongue lining.
The leather quality on the original SBB is legendary. Tumbled, soft, thick. It set the standard that every Jordan 1 release after it got compared to. The orange pops against the black without looking like a Halloween shoe. This is the pair that launched an entire series of SBB colorways, Reverse editions, and 3.0 versions. Half up if you’re between sizes. Find it alongside other SBB editions on the best Jordan 1 reps page. Browse fake shoes.
