Air Yeezy 2 Pure Platinum
The Shoe That Changed Sneaker Culture Forever
Before Kanye West moved to Adidas, there was the Nike era. The Air Yeezy 2 Pure Platinum (508214-010) launched June 9, 2012 at $250 and sold out instantly. Wolf Grey and Pure Platinum tones blend across a suede, leather, and mesh upper. Snakeskin-textured side panels and a molded rubber heel with prominent ridges give the silhouette its unmistakable profile. An adjustable midfoot strap carries a “YEEZY” logo, and hieroglyphic symbols by artist Hafiia Mark appear on the heel, tongue, and strap. Air Tech Challenge II midsole underneath, with a glow-in-the-dark outsole. Bright red collar lining adds a pop of contrast.
Resale has stayed in four- and five-figure territory since release. The shape is unlike anything else in the Nike catalog. Fits standard. See it on the Air Yeezy reps page. Full store at shoe replicas.
