Before the “Rio,” J Balvin dropped the shoe that put his Jordan 3 run on the map. The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Medellin Sunset (FN0344-901) released September 23, 2023 at $250. Inspired by the gradient skies over his hometown of Medellin, Colombia, the shoe features an ivory/coconut milk leather upper with tonal elephant print overlays. The real show is at the back: rear midsole and molded heel tabs carry a gradient blend of yellow, orange, and deep purple that fades like a sunset. Gold Jumpman on the tongue. Left heel has Nike branding, right heel has Balvin’s signature smiley. Translucent blue-tinted outsole underneath.

The ivory upper keeps things neutral while the gradient does all the talking. Elephant print is tonal and subtle. Yellow eyelet hits add warmth. A collab with genuine personality behind it.
