The Royal That Traded Leather for Suede

When the Jordan 1 High OG Royal Reimagined dropped on November 4, 2023, it was the first time the Royal colorway got a full material overhaul since 1985. Jordan Brand swapped out the original smooth leather for premium royal blue and black suede across the entire upper. The idea came from the same Reimagined series that gave us the Lost and Found Chicago in 2022. Padded ankle collar with a debossed Wings logo, Nike Air tongue tags, and cracked leather detailing around the collar that nods to the vintage aesthetic. Midsole carries a slightly yellowed tone to push that worn-in look further.

Suede nap is dense and consistent across both panels. Runs like a standard AJ1 High. The royal blue is deep, closer to navy in certain light, and the black suede Swoosh blends into the overlay without looking flat. Style code DZ5485-042.
